I was born on March 25, 1961 to Pat & Fred Shahan and grew
up on Wilkie Drive in South Hills. I have 3 brothers..Mike,
Steve and my identical twin brother Bob. I attended Fort
Hill Elementary, John Adams Junior High, Elkview Junior
High, Herbert Hoover High and South Charleston High School
and graduated in 1979. I started college at WVU in '79,
graduated in '84 with a degree in management which is a very
long story.

I began radio as part of a college internship at WVU in'82
and after I completed it...I never left. I worked for
V-100's News Director, Jim Hatcher gathering sound bites
from interviews for morning newscasts. I became very good..
...well...at washing vans and wrecking cars that we'd be
giving away....I'm only kidding!! However, I did indeed live
in the V-100 "Dream House" before we gave it away. I was
also a personal coffee "go-fer" for Randy Damron who was on
680 WCAW. Guess all that paid off because I was given my
first airshift doing over nights on V-100 in 1983.

After doing various airshifts on V-100 I "crossed the
street" in 1986 to join Super 102. I became Program Director
there and programmed the station until 1998. I did a short
stint on B94.5 until March of '99 and decided to come back
"home" to V-100.

I was given the opportunity to team up with Kidd Conley
in 2000 and start up a new station..."98.7 The Beat" which
was BIG fun!! In 2003 I joined WKAZ-Oldies 107.3 for 3 of
the best years ever. I had always wanted to work with the
incredibly talented Max in the morning...it was a treat and
I learned ALOT! I LOVE this business!!

NOW...I have been given a new challenge..a chance to be a
part of "The Wolf". Life doesn't get better than this. I am
very,VERY excited to be here and I hope you'll be a part of
the show. It took me 23 years to get an "888" number and I
invite you not to hesitate to use it while I am on from 3-
7p.

I almost forgot to mention earlier that the 3 "Shahan Boys"
married 3 sisters. I happen to think I got thee best one
and am still happily married to her. She is from Nitro,
her first name is Londa and works for CAMC...by the way
honey...you're STILL HOT!!! We married in 1987 and have 2
beautiful daughters. Kylie was born in 1989. She was named
after Australian Superstar Kylie Minogue and attends
Capital High. Her sister, Allyson was our "gift" in 1995 and
she attends Ruffner Elementary. She has been waiting
patiently for "Dad" to work at a station that plays
Sugarland. She's more excited about the Wolf than I am!!
She loves CMT!!!

The Shahans have been just about everywhere..from Rocklake
Village to Knollview Estates..we finally "settled" in at
Edgewood on the West side aong with our Jack Russell
Terrier..."Spot"!!

I aplogise about my picture....but then again now you can
see why I'm in radio!! I'm only kidding!
But I am not kidding when I ask you to stop by and say hello
when I'm out on location...I can't wait to meet........
